It is books like this that make me continue to select titles from the '1001 Books to Read Before You Die' list. This book starts out fast, with the death and possible suicide of Laura Chase, the narrator's sister. The rest of the book is a flashback of the events that led up to the accident intertwined with excerpts out of a book called The Blind Assassin, written by Laura and published after her death. Although this book is long, it was a quick read with lots of little surprises. I have read quite a few books by Atwood, but this is one of my favorites. Great story.
