Light, fun, feel-good type of book about how a meek spinster changes her life through an accidental encounter with an actress. Definitely enjoyable, it reminds me of a romantic comedy movie. But, not very deep or realistic and I am surprised that it made it on the 1001 Books to Read Before You Die list - although many of those books are incredibly difficult to read or depressing, so this was nice for a change. The audio version was OK, but the voice of Miss Pettigrew - British, slightly uptight was sometimes mixed up with the young actress. I think she was trying to show how Miss Pettigrew transformed herself, but by the end of the book, you couldn't tell who was talking.
