Left Neglected follows the life of Sarah, a Harvard MBA graduate whose work life balance is clearly out of whack as she tries to manage a demanding career while parenting her 3 young children. Her life is drastically changed when she is brain damaged in a car accident, caused by trying to use her phone while driving. This book was hard to put down. Genova captures not only the frustration Sarah experiences going from Super Mom to invalid, but does an excellent portrayal of the anxiety and stress of Sarah's impossible life before the accident. Although I didn't feel the same emotional impact that I felt with her first novel, Still Alice, I enjoyed this heartwarming story.Thank you, Simon & Schuster, for sending me an advance copy - I'll have no problems recommending this book when it releases!
